Christi discovered that her son, Jase, had Down syndrome through prenatal testing. Genes of Joy was born out of her desire for families touched by Down Syndrome to be able to connect with a community of people who wish to support each other.
Katie discovered that her daughter Amelia-Kate had Down syndrome at birth. She longed for a way to reach other families in the Down syndrome community. She is excited to be on this journey and has a great desire to learn more about other families in the Down syndrome community.
Mary recently retired from the Navy. While serving she earned a Masters of Arts in Management and Leadership with an emphasis in non-profit organizations. She has a heart for helping others and considers it a blessing to serve the Down syndrome community.

It is my heart’s desire to help everyone have or find a community where they feel loved, supported, and cared for. Even if it is just to say, I love you, it’s going to be okay, and that this is a journey we will go on together."
